Cloud UI Warns Non-FIPS Compliant Ubuntu Versions - CX-19227¶
The Cloud Platform user interface is enhanced to display a warning message for Ubuntu versions that are not FIPS compliant. For more information about such versions, see FIPS for Ubuntu.
The ImageMagick tool support on Cloud Next for Drupal image manipulation has improved stability for dealing with larger image assets that may have previously, caused the 'convert' process to be terminated with errors like ImageMagick error 137: Killed
.
Memory Limit Adjustment: ImageMagick memory limit is now set to a ratio of the pod/PHP memory limit, with a maximum cap of 256MiB, improving stability and preventing out-of-memory (OOM) errors.
Configurable Limit: Users can now set the MAGICK_MEMORY_LIMIT
environment variable if they choose to override the default settings via the policy.xml or environment configurations.
Test Coverage: Comprehensive test coverage has been added to ensure the reliability of ImageMagick under various conditions.
End-to-End Testing: An end-to-end test has been implemented to verify the functionality and stability of the convert process either through direct binary execution or through triggering from a Drupal request.
Improved Stability: This update helps mitigate OOM errors caused by large image conversions, enhancing overall application stability.
Clear Guidance: Provides clarity to customers regarding the configuration options to manage memory limits effectively.
