Using reports and dashboards in Personalization

End-of-Sale notice!

Acquia announces the end-of-sale for Acquia Personalization effective July 1, 2024. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support. If you are interested in experimentation and optimization, contact Acquia Sales Team to get information about Acquia Convert powered by VWO.

Personalization provides a group of pre-built or standard reports and visualizations which help you to gain insights about visitors’ behavior and actions on your websites, and optionally across other channels. The reports can be filtered to display data for different websites and different time periods. In certain cases, you can add more filters based on specific event names of interest or other criteria.

Viewing the available reports

To view the reports, click the Analyze tab on any webpage in the Personalization interface.

Personalization includes reports providing an overview of how your visitors interact with your websites, and reports providing a fine-level of detail based on specific attributes of their interactions. By default, Personalization displays the reports each section has. To hide a section’s reports, click the name of the section.

The following reports and visualizations are available for your use:

Overview report

  • Operational dashboard: Displays dashboard-style summaries which consolidate reports and visualizations into a single at-a-glance view

Detailed reports

  • Content: Reports displaying content-related data, such as number of views of a certain content type
  • Conversion: The Offers and recommendations campaign summary report, which displays campaign actions and click-through engagements from the previous 90 days
  • Engagement: Lists reports displaying data relating to engagement scores, the number of Page Views over certain periods of time, and the amount of time a visitor spends on your website or websites
  • Events: Reports displaying data related to the frequency of unique events on your website or other channels
  • People: Lists reports containing data relating to the different ways Personalization tracks visitors to your website or other channels. For example, the People by identifier type report displays the number of visitors captured in Personalization in the past 30 days, organized by identifier types such as email address and Facebook ID.
  • Segment: Reports displaying data related to the segments into which your visitors fell when visiting your website
  • Touches: Reports consisting of data relating to the touches associated with visitors in Personalization.
  • Campaigns: Reports including data about the types of campaigns running on your website:
    • A/B Test Campaign
    • Content Recommendation Campaign
    • Targeted Personalization Campaign

Note

Visitors are counted once for each piece of content shown, click-throughs, and goals met, for each touch.

Deleting campaigns, segments, and variants does not delete them from reporting.

Getting help

In the Operational dashboard, to display help text for a displayed report, click the speech bubble icon located to the lower-left of the report. You can also display a description of each report by pointing to its name in the sidebar.

Bots and spiders

Personalization attempts to filter out traffic from bots and spiders which may crawl your website, and generate false positives for tests and other Personalization activities. See Bot traffic filtering for more information.
